Falling Into September 2022

Here's to another summer and another stellar lineup of guest hosts on Jimmy Kimmel Live! It was a warm welcome to our week-long hosts starting with Sean Hayes, Chelsea Handler, and Anthony Anderson. Sprinkled in were the funny Dana Carvey, Desus Nice, and Nicole Byer and the one-night wonders with Kerry Washington, RuPaul, Al Franken, and Mark Rober. We are excited to welcome Jimmy back right after Labor Day, and for his live shows in Brooklyn at the end of September. If the spring was any indication with fantastic guests like President Biden, Chris Pratt, Viola Davis, Kaley Cuoco, Kevin Hart, and Donald Glover, then it is sure to be an awesome fall.

Speaking of content we love, Call Her Daddy's Alex Cooper continues to keep it real in her endlessly entertaining interviews with Demi Lovato, Keke Palmer, Kristin Cavallari, as well as the insightful experts/psychologists who have recently joined to discuss relatable mental health topics.

We continually enjoy working on WTF with Marc Maron and his candid chats with Simu Liu, Jerrod Carmichael, Andrew Garfield, Sandra Oh, Michael Che, and more during his bi-weekly episodes (still can't get enough!)

Wondery keeps us wondrous as we listen to Life Is Short with Justin Long and his relatable conversations with Christina Ricci, Julia Stiles, and Margaret Cho. Also check out Sydnee in the Sheets, Call Me Curious, and new exciting podcasts launching this fall.

Crooked Media's many podcasts entertain and educate us starting with Keep It which recently had on John Boyega, Jenifer Lewis, Connie Britton, Neil Patrick Harris; Love It or Leave It with Luenell, Bob the Drag Queen, Vanessa Bayer; Pod Save America chatted with Al Gore while in Nashville during one of their live tour stops. And there’s more: Offline with Jon Favreau as he sits down with Samantha Bee and Roxane Gay; plus X-Ray Vision with recent screenwriters like Jessica Gao, Bisha K. Ali, Michael Waldron.

Another fan favorite: The Ringer with Bill Simmons and his great talks with Adam Sandler on his 30 years of comedies, and Jon Bernthal as a returning guest on the pod. There's also Black on the Air with Larry Wilmore and his engaging interviews with Regina Hall, Judd Apatow, and Barry Levinson. Plus the Bakari Sellers Podcast and his deep dives with a variety of guests like Charles Booker, Dulé Hill, and John Salley.

There aren't enough good words to describe Sony's Good Words with Kirk Franklin as he welcomes people from all walks of life, focusing on faith and inspiration in his new season launching this fall.

We also highly recommend HBO's Game Theory with sports journalist Bomani Jones. His commentary and humor shines through in his sit-downs with guests like Tracy Morgan, Dawn Staley, and Stephen A. Smith. Our team loved working with Bomani on Season 1 – stay tuned for Season 2 coming in 2023!

Another NY show that CTB is currently booking and loving is Comedy Central's Hell of A Week with Charlamagne and his very entertaining conversations.

Also filming in the Big Apple, CTB is excited to be working again on Bravo's Project Runway for their All Star Season 20. We look forward to their shoots in Brooklyn this fall.

Moving along on the gameshow front, it was a blast to work on ABC's Generation Gap, the new comedy quiz show hosted by Kelly Ripa and produced by Jimmy Kimmel. Our thanks to Zach King, Marla Gibbs, Judd Hirsch, Huey Lewis, and more for their help in playing along. CTB is also working with Jimmy on an upcoming prank show with lots of laughs to be had!

Be sure to tune into ABC's Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and Celebrity Jeopardy which premiere on September 25th. We can promise both shows will be a good time! How could it not with the following Jeopardy players: Constance Wu, Simu Liu, Michael Cera, Aisha Tyler, Ray Romano, Patton Oswalt, B.J. Novak, Iliza Shlesinger, Candace Parker, plus more.

Also taping in California, Red Table Talk returns to Facebook Watch on September 7th with all new episodes, kicking off the hit series with Jennette McCurdy.

Whenever in need of a good laugh, check out our Impractical Jokers aka longtime friends who compete to embarrass each other. Their special guests such as Eric Andre, Jillian Bell, Colin Jost, and Brooke Shields make it even more hilarious (if possible!)

For more laugh out loud content, stay tuned for the premiere date of The Eric Andre Show on Adult Swim and Hulu with Season 6 expected in early 2023 – a fun show that CTB loved working on!

Another show for 2023 is Season 2 of Next In Fashion, which will launch globally on Netflix with impressive guests joining the fashionable judges.

Especially these days, promoting good health is important, and Sharecare's resources help do just that on a regular basis. As a perfect example, Sharecare recently interviewed the iconic Rita Moreno who shares her secrets to aging and teaches us how to find a sense of purpose in our lives. A true pleasure to work on such quality content!

Similarly, for mindfulness and healthy living, we enjoyed working with Meditative Story as part of WaitWhat, an excellent podcast company with 2 Webby Awards and 14 total Webby nominations in 2022.

In other exciting news, CTB booked Disney+'s Turning the Tables with Robin Roberts and SpringHill, aka LeBron James’ production company, and this show recently won a Daytime Emmy. We are proud to be a part of the team!

Another few upcoming events that we are thrilled to be a part of is the MAKERS Conference, a global leadership event that brings together powerhouses across all genres from business and entertainment to tech and sports. So much inspiring content to come as great minds gather in California on October 24th–26th.

Taking place in our nation’s capital on September 24th, the History Channel's HistoryTalks is a speaker series featuring first-hand conversations with trailblazers and leaders from government, entertainment, sports and the humanities.

As always, it is a privilege of ours to work with the American Veterans Center on their annual Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C. co-hosted this year by Anthony Anderson and Joe Buck. Our team is now gearing up for American Valor, the Emmy Award-winning televised event honoring our heroes on Veterans Day.

On a separate note, we recently started an internship program with UCLA. Click here to learn more about CTB University: centraltalentbooking.com/ctb-university

As we look back, we feel so fortunate to work with you all every day. To make things more efficient, we have created a CTB distribution list so you can easily contact our entire team by emailing ctbteam@ctb-ny.com. We always love hearing from you.

Wishing you a rejuvenating holiday weekend, and can’t wait to continue the magic together this fall!
